Hephzibah Ministries Tobago

Hephzibah Ministries Tobago was launched on June 4th 2000, in the village of Mason Hall. Services are held at the home of Basil and Maude Davidson at Spence Trace, Sandy River Mason Hall. The "First Fruit" of the Family of Hephzibah Ministries, this Church is truly sanctified and chosen by God, in accordance with His Word in Exodus 13:2 and Romans 11:16.

This Church was built on the Solid Rock, Christ Jesus and all guiding principles of Him. Hence the reason it is three years old and is moving from strength to strength and glory to glory in Christ Jesus. It is not just a church but A Home, A Ministry as the name implies. In this church, we minister unto God first and secondly to the needs of the people. Doing the Will of God is our priority, even if it means denying one self.

Some guidelines of our foundation are:-
  • Following Jesus Christ
  • Bold Confessions of Jesus Christ
  • Fearless Faith
  • Fearless Preaching and Teaching of the Word of God
  • Denying Self and doing God's will.
Basil Davidson - Born in Tobago on 4th May 1952. A member of a family of ten and is therefore a family person and father to many. Employed at Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission as a Meter Reader, he believes this job is the Will of God as he is able to come into contact with many people daily and he enjoys this. He has a family of five, which includes four children.

Basil has placed Jesus Christ at the Head of his home as he believes God's Word, "Except the Lord builds the House, they labour in vain that build it." Psalm 127:1 He is happy to know Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord and would like to tell this to the world. He wishes to thank the Hephzibah Ministries Family for nurturing and guiding him in his walk with God. He believes he is truly blessed to have made that choice.

Maude Davidson - Born in Tobago on 31st March 1957. As a member of a very large family, Maude has a special love for the family and places great emphasis on building strong family units. Though blessed with her own family:- husband Basil and four children Derrion, Damani, Dialo, Dalia, Maude has an extended family and sees everyone as her children. She is a mother to hundreds. She sees her role as one of service, first to her Creator and secondly to man. She has been a Primary School Teacher for twenty-five years and believes that no good thing must be with held, knowledge must be imparted- " Freely receive, freely give."

Jesus Christ is her role model and is the Greatest Teacher from whom everyone must learn. Having service upper most in her mind, Maude pursued a course in Counselling. She believes that no matter what qualifications one has, the most important aim is to do the Will of God. Therefore being a member of Hephzibah Ministries with a Mission Statement:- To go... To Teach... To Demonstrate... is truly ordained by God. She thanks the family of Hephzibah Ministries for guiding her every step of the way as she seeks to fulfil the purpose of God for her life.
